Get Involved

There are so many ways to get involved with the pool.  Here are just a few:

Volunteer:

We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers of all ages and interests.  Why not consider training as a Pool Rescuer, First Aid or Pool Plant Operator?  Perhaps you'd be happy to help on reception, booking swimmers in and enjoying the atmosphere around the pool?  Or maybe you're a keen gardener, DIYer or fancy helping out behind the scenes?  Our management committee need all kinds of skills.  Accounting, Admin, Event Planning, Marketing etc, and our Trustees oversee everything, ensuring that our pool is run safely and efficiently bringing affordable swimming to everyone in Overton.  

Fundraising:

You don't have to swim miles to help raise funds to keep the pool open.  Do you run, walk or skip? Knit, paint or bake?  We would love to her about any sponsored events you might like to help with.

Spread the word:

We do a lot to make sure that the Pool is part of every Overton families life, but believe it or not, there are still some people in the village who don't know we have this incredible facility.  We are always looking for new ways to get the message out so that everyone can share in the fun of the water.  If you've get a fresh take on how we can reach more people, please get in touch - we would love to hear from you.

Join Us

Even if you're not in a position to raising funds or volunteer, simply becoming a member and coming up for a swim helps enormously.  We get to share the pool and you get to meet your neighbours, make local connections and of course enjoy the water.
